Is anybody on the birth control shot.My doctor just put me on it thrusday.Is it any good at all?I like the fact that you take it every 3months but does it really work? I heard you gain alittle bit of weight on this.
*random* A ton of my friends went on it, along with my mom. They loved it but you're only supposed to be on it for less than two years. It took my mom two years to get it out of her system when she was ready for more kids. But overall, i heard it was a good thing.
I think the only reason you tend to gain weight on any kind of birth control is because it's basically hormones, and it makes you want to eat more... (I think, not 100% positive... I think that's what my doctor told me)... so really, it's not the pill itself (or the shot, in your case)... it's just the hormones.
Again, this is what I remember being told... not sure if I'm correct, though... yeah.

My friend is on it...I don't know if it works, though, because she's a virgin. haha
It's good that you don't have to remember it every day, but it does make you gain weight and it can make it hard to TTC later on.
