Dentist Day

05/29/2014

Dentist DayTHURSDAY
29th May 2013, 9.58 AM.

Hello people, your favourite nutcase is back! Ta-da!

[Wasn't the "Ta-da!" supposed to be before you greeted the reader?]

In that case, wouldn't that make the "Ta-da!" the greeting?

[Knock it off, you two. We didn't come here to confuse ourselves again.]

[Killjoy.]

She's right, Star. Now shoo-shoo, you two are taking up too much space...again.

I've been awfully obsessed with poems lately. It must be MLP's ever-rhyming songs casting its magical effect on me. Seriously, who doesn't love rhymes? Maybe some don't but come on, you gotta admit, rhymes are awesome! Speaking of which, I always get confused about the definition of "poem". Some poems rhyme and some don't. Are they supposed to rhyme or what? Personally, I think it has more meaning if it's rhymed because if it isn't, it just looks like a bunch of sentences divided into paragraphs.

[Forgive me for interrupting but I must inform you of a powerful source of knowledge that several of which are easily accessible in your surroundings. It is called a "dictionary". Such a mysterious object of wondrous word power, is it not?]

Yeah, yeah, whatever! I keep forgetting what "poem" means each time I look it up, anyway!

[...When was the last time you looked it up? Oh, that's right, NEVER! HAHAHAHA *snort* Wow, that was actually pretty funny!]

Sure it was, so have fun laughing by yourself! ((Honestly, the amount of time I spend talking to myself has slipped the cheese off my cracker...))

Anyway, I finally went for my dental appointment last Tuesday and surprise, surprise, I went alone (unless you count my mom). Actually, it's pretty normal for me to go for my dental appointment on my own (with my mom) but I'm a little bitter about it this year. L.F had hers with a few of my classmates and so did another girl and another girl and another. To be honest, it seems like everyone had someone to go with to their dental appointment, everyone except me. I know it's petty of me to say that but hey, child hormones (is that even a real thing?) in action here. I was pretty glad to be going to that dental appointment, though, 'cause an Arabic day camp programme at Changi Airport was taking place that day so it was either sulking alone within my chosen group or lying down and allowing some random person to prod around in my mouth with a mirror and a metal pick. I chose the latter. I listened to the dentists as they talked about teeth in egghead terms but one thing I did manage to understand was that my gums were inflamed. My gums were freakin' inflamed!

[Pretty unbelievable...but yet, believable.]

[It was quite a shock indeed. The dentist's advice she should've heed.]

That's really supportive, guys. Anyways, the dentist polished my mouth free of germs and now I'm clean!

[But for how long?]

Hush, you!

[I think that's our cue, Star...]

Thanks so much for reading!
