27. How do you spend thanksgiving? Tell us about how you celebrate/any traditions etc.
If you don't celebrate thanksgiving tell us about your favourite holiday or day of the year you enjoy most.

Over the years, Russ and I have developed a tradition of breakfast with my dad and then dinner with his mom. Though his mom claims that we didn't go last year, and for the life of us, we cannot remember what we did. The whole day is a blank. Anywho, sometimes I cook breakfast at my dad's. This year.. well this morning lol, we went to Cracker Barrel. My whole boycotting going places where people work on the holidays didn't work out. lol because we ended up going to wal-mart after to pick up some flea meds for the pets. (we noticed a couple buggies on the dog yesterday) I still felt guilty.

The tradition stems to Christmas too. Pretty much the same thing. Breakfast with dad. Dinner with his mom.

I used to visit my mom every year for Christmas, and we'd head over to SC to visit my step family. There's a big huge dinner and then comes the opening of presents. I really miss it. Unfortunately, because I work retail, I can't get time off for the holidays to leave for a few days. And I haven't been up there in years. I feel really bad, because I hope they don't think I don't think about them. I do. Every single year.

So we're heading down to Russ' mom's in.. i dunno.. maybe about an hour. Russ is taking a nap now. Dinner is at three. It was originally one, but Russ haggled her a bit lol.

Last night, I really wanted to do laundry, but both rooms upstairs and downstairs had been occupied all day with clothes in line to be cleaned after. *sigh* I was so mad. We just got new neighbors, so the laundry room "do not hog" etiquette was thrown out the window. Due to girly hormones, I went on a rampage. I stuffed everything I could in garbage bags planned on going to the laundry mat. I ended up not going, because it was really late and dark. We've been watching too much Criminal Minds lately so the last thing I need is for some creepy dude to bumrush a girl alone in a laundry mat. So I had no clean clothes to wear today. I had to find the least dirty shirt possible. I mean, normally I don't care wearing a shirt I've already work that week, but for a holiday, it kind of bugs me.

I think I was more mad because of the new neighbors. They seem to think they need not abide by rules. They make their own parking spot. Instead of parking a bit of the ways down and walking, like the rest of us have to do when the close ones are occupied, they park right next to the end infront of the exit where there is no spot. Their huge van/SUV takes up half the exit. Okay whatever. But then as soon as someone leaves, they don't just leave the car there. No. they go ahead and move their car taking the new open spot. So when we come back, there's nowhere to park.

Plus Russ and I have seniority! lol! Cameron who lives on the other side of the building has been here the longest. And then on our side we've been here the longest. lol. So we should get the closest spot.

Now all that is just silly stuff to be aggravated about. But it all adds up. I've also noticed so much more trash outside on the grass lately too. No respect. But it's Thanksgiving, so I'm thankful another family found a new home.

Anywho, today is a holiday. I should be in a good mood. I have a day off! woo-hoo!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving if you celebrate. If not, then have a wonderful random Thursday!

peace!

I love cracker barrel. We usually go there when we go on road trips.

I wasn't in a great mood today. I'm still not. Just too much going on and too much on my mind. :/
