You know, I'm tired of my fat ass ripping my jeans.
I need to lose weight, I need to shape up. In fact, losing weight isn't really a concern - reshaping my body is what I'd like to do. If I could spread all of the fat from my belly out towards the rest of my body, I'd look proportionate.
Well, OK. Weight loss and management is something that many people struggle with. Here's my commitment:
1. I will walk somewhere every day. Right now I walk a few blocks at night. At first, this would actually leave me winded. Now I'm getting on top of it. As walking becomes easier, I will walk further distances, or run. Ultimately, I want to do something that I can commit to. If I was to run every night, I'd soon give up.
2. I will drink at least 2 litres of water every day to stay hydrated. This is important because your kidneys need water, without water the liver will have to do the kidney's job. The liver is responsible for turning your fat into energy - so, if you are dehydrated, it is next to impossible to lose weight because losing weight requires that you turn fat into energy.
So there it is. For once, a reasonable commitment to losing weight. I won't be weighing myself, I may measure my waist though.
** Has recently given up losing weight after realising that with an ass the size of his, physics probably has a law against reduction in mass. Kind of like a black hole, except every now and then it expels some gas. ** |
