Once again, it was freezing last night. Lydia suggested that we huddle together again and I was happy to hear it. I have grown quite fond of Lydia and I get the feeling that she might be getting fond of me as well because I occasionally catch her looking at me and she turns away when ever I do.

We arrived in Iverstead at about mid day like we planned and we were approached by a man and woman dressed in strange robes and masks. They asked if I was the Dragonborn and when I said the the Grey Beards seemed to think I was, they said that my lies had already spread and mentioned something about "Miraak rising again" before attacking me. Lydia was quick on her feet as always and had killed one of them before they even reached me and I dispatched the other. I searched their bodies and found a note that told me they had come from Raven Rock in Solstheim with orders to kill me and return. It also mentions the name of the ship they took to get here called The Northen Maiden and that they docked in Windhelm. I should look in to this at some point but for now I will go to Ustengrav.

We took a carriage to Markarth and saw some towns folk standing around by the Jarl's longhouse. When we went to see why we learned that they are concered about a wizard who lives there. Before I could learn anything else, we were attacked by a dragon. are a long battle we managed to defeat it and I absorbed it's soul.

We will get a room at the inn and find out more about this wizard problem in the morning.
