It was the night before Passover and the dining room table is set
The brisket is in the oven and the matzo ball soup is all set
The Seder plate is prepared and so is the charoset
The Haggadahs are stacked next to the yarmulkes and the bottles of wine that are uncorked
Uncle Joe brought Kosher pastries from New York
Family and friends will gather from near and far
Thoughts of those who passed will be on our mind, especially our pa
Uncle Gabe, uncle Denis, Uncle Toddles, Punchy and Fran
We will open the door for Elijah and hide the Afikoman
Jalen will be asking the 4 questions this year
He can't wait till Devin is old enough to have his turn, it's unfair
I will recite the blessing over the wine
And then my Dad will say, let's dine
